Each youth is matched based on their unique strengths, goals, and aspirations – because no two young people experience foster care the same way, and support shouldn’t either.
Mentors commit to at least two in-person connections monthly, and a minimum one-year commitment, renewed annually. This builds trust through steady, reliable presence during some of the most formative years of a young person’s life.
Together, mentors and mentees work toward personalized milestones – from academic achievement and career exploration to life skills, financial literacy, college applications, employment, and independent living. Support is structured, but flexible. Goals are clear, but shaped by the youth’s voice.
When a young person has one consistent adult in their corner, trajectories shift. Youth are empowered and equipped to reach their fullest potential.
And mentors don’t walk away unchanged. Showing up month after month expands your perspective and deepens your empathy. What begins as guidance often grows into a meaningful relationship – one that shapes not only a young person’s future, but your own.
