LIZ SWIGART
Likes: Traveling, fur babies, vanilla lattes, cooking new recipes, hot yoga and snuggling up with a good book
Dislikes: Cold weather, folding laundry, pickles and snakes As a young girl, I always knew that with whatever career path I choose I wanted to positively impact lives and spread kindness. My mother continues to be such an inspiration in my life, as a social worker of over thirty years herself. Mid way through my sophomore year of college, I opted to change my major to social work and never looked back. Throughout my career I've been blessed to be a part of many lives in all stages of healing as a reintegration case worker, therapist intern and adoption specialist. I was introduced to KC Kansas Angels through my sister, who invited me to a pickleball tournament. After learning more about KC Kansas Angels and their mission to support children and families experiencing foster care, I knew this was exactly what the world of child welfare could use. KC Kansas Angels is such a bright light in a broken system and I'm thrilled to be a part of it. |
