Our TEEN Ambassador Program is a way for students to get involved in impacting the lives of children, youth, and families experiencing foster care

By creating awareness about the foster care community and sharing the hope of transformation through radical support programs with peers, the future of foster care will be impacted. The Ambassador program is set up to give teens an opportunity to ​dive deeper into the work we do at KC Kansas Angels in a way that also supports the student's educational and professional goals.

​Current Project: Family Feast Fundraiser to ensure families experiencing foster care can gather around the table this Thanksgiving. We are collecting:

• Non-perishable grocery items
• Grocery store gift cards

Every donation helps provide comfort, joy, and a full plate for families who need it most.

Role as a teen ambassador:

The purpose of this program is for local teens to raise awareness about foster care among their peers.  The program will include:

• Training on the basics of the foster care system..
• Presenting what you have learned to your peers.
• Plan and execute one fundraiser for KC Kansas Angels.
• Opportunities for further volunteer hours through programmatic events.
• Opportunites to engage with other teens throughout the KC Kansas metro community.

​Upon completion of the program, you will receive a recommendation letter (if you should want one), and volunteer hours that you will have tracked throughout the semester. These hours can be used for programs at your school, if needed.
